We were tasked with crafting a multi-functional environment, focused on the integration of a family-centric movie area, a productive home office, a wet bar and seating area, alongside an open concept gym and workout area.
Our mission for this design was centered around the transformation of a basement space into a dynamic urban retreat, blending functionality with contemporary style.

A cozy living space for family movie and game night.
Built in cabinetry for storage, large console with extra seating, black out floor to ceiling curtains, wall sconces and modern wainscotting for a cool theater vibe

Our clients had an existing electric fireplace that we had them disassemble and retro-fit it into a Besta Ikea cabinet to provide extra heat and ambiance while snuggling up for movie night

We had our clients install faux brick wall paneling, sprayed in Sherwin Williams Black Magic in flat to create the urban industrial vibe they desired.

Wall mirrors, workout and weight equipment storage
Custom built wood and metal room divider, overhead track lighting, full length studio wall mirrors
We created a storage bench for workout gear alongside a wall mount weight system to keep things off the ground and save precious floor space

This was a surprise feature we designed for our clients to kick back and enjoy a cold beer after a long meeting
"Built in" bookcase with wood fluted back, picture light, leather chair, and small side table
We used Ikeas Billy Bookcase painted in SW Black Magic and had our clients install stained oak pole wrap to the back, framed around the outside to beef it up and complete the look with a rechargeable picture light for ambiance.

Our Client's Progress so far ...
We started designing this project while our client was 8 months pregrant. They started the renovation at 9 months and just as things were getting undereway they welcomed their new baby boy into the world! So we'd say they've made great progess all things considered! We'll update as this project comes to a close, so stay tuned, it's going to be beautiful!
